Louisiana Saltwater Series

The Louisiana Saltwater Series was developed by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) in conjunction with the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation to promote the conservation of Louisiana’s saltwater sport fish resources. Through this catch-and-release saltwater fishing series, LDWF strives to enhance the resource while providing a competitive opportunity for avid fishermen and newcomers alike.

The 2010 Louisiana Saltwater Series will target the tag-and-release of one of Louisiana’s most valuable sport fish, redfish. This inaugural series will be comprised of five fishing events and a championship event. LDWF personnel will be on hand at each tournament to assist with the tag and release of all weighed fish. Participation in the tournaments provides anglers with the opportunity to give back to the resource.

    15 Boats
    1st-$1200 2nd-$700 3rd-$450 4th-$250

    20 Boats
    1st-$1400 2nd-$830 3rd-$640 4th-$380 5th-$250

    25 Boats
    1st-$1600 2nd-$960 3rd-$770 4th-$520 5th-$300 6th-$250

    30 Boats
    1st-$1800 2nd-$1100 3rd-$850 4th-$600 5th-$400 6th-$300 7th-$250

    40 Boats
    1st-$2200 2nd-$1300 3rd-$1020 4th-$730 5th-$500 6th-$440 7th-$360 8th-$300 9th-$250

    50 Boats

    Dwayne,

    I came down and fished Empire with Chris Williams. I have to say that was one of the best run tournaments I’ve ever fished. The anglers all were first class and talked to this out of town guy. The weigh in was better then ANY tournament I’ve fished. You have a first class operation. Keep doing what your doing. I think instead of the iFA next year, I’m just going to fish your series. Thanks for allowing me to come your direction and enjoy the best redfishing around. Now if I can get Chris to find a couple of fish!!!
